If you are looking for one of the hottest hot air balloon sites on the web you are at the right place!
Keep in shape and maintain your flying feeling and reflexes when the real thing is not available. Time, space and especially weather are no longer limitation for ballooning because The Hot Air Balloon Simulator is ALWAYS FLYABLE.
Through realistic balloon response and different wind speeds at various altitudes enjoy the magnetism of hot air ballooning:
- Realistic balloon motion
- Precision fliyng full of adrenaline
- Race against time and other players' scores
- Just keep in shape
The mission of this site is just that - to practice balloon flying all the time, not that few precious hours in the morning and before sunset. Of course nothing can replace the real thing, but this should keep your reactions in shape.
To add some spice to the simulator we have turned it into round the clock competition so pilots around the world can compare and improve their results.
The whole site is intended for hot air balloon pilots, but anyone else is more than welcomed to experience the physics of the first flying machine man have ever made.
This project is dedicated to Geoff Lescott, my friend and
fellow pilot.

For playing the simulator you need to have latest Flash player installed.
Please visit the Flash player installation page, follow the instructions and install the latest version.
Version updates:
11.10.2007.
After numerous suggestions, US standard and metric units switch is added. It is situated inside the simulator itself above the Task Control panel. Clicking on it results in changing the units. Last settings are saved into database so it is custom for every enlisted pilot. Try it!
6.10.2007.
Hot air ballon lift bar is added to compensate lack of feeling of acceleration as in real balloon. The height of the bar is proportional to lifting force. The lift is calculated aggregate of all vertical forces acting upon the balloon. When under the equilibrium level, lift bar indicates that the gravitational force is stronger than the lift and that the balloon will tend to descent.
4.10.2007.
A full window size simulator version is introduced. In case you notice that the number of frames per second is reduced and simulator is running slower, please choose the standard simulator mode on the home page. Alternatively in full window size mode
try reducing your browser window size for optimal performance. Since the Flash player that runs the simulator consumes lots of CPU power, try shutting down all unnecessary applications.
Frame rate is indicated at the lower left corner of the simulator, and should be around 23-24 fps.
31.8.2007.
A new dynamic flight module is introduced with over 30 variables to ensure maximum reality of balloon's vertical motion with significant improvements in precision landing and collision detection with the ground.
26.8.2007.
The whole database system is optimized and the security of the site is put to a higher level.
18.8.2007.
Hot Air Balloon Simulator has moved to this new domain.
